Become a Counselor
Our volunteer peer counselors come from every walk of life. They are students, retirees, lawyers, stay-at-home moms, businessmen, waitresses, and professors. They are men and women. Tall and short. Old and young.
And although they have different appearances, come from different backgrounds, and work at different vocations, they have at least one thing in common: they want to help.
For students and life-long learners, GBCC offer its counselors real-world training, quality supervision and the skills they need to help them become a successful mental health professional. For others, counseling provides a way to know you are making an important difference in someone’s life.
Counseling services take place every Thursday at 7 and 7:30 p.m. If you are interested in joining the GBCC family, you can reach Center Director Kathy Aman by email or phone at 833-5993.
